About Us

Who We Are

We’re neighbors helping neighbors – plain and simple!

People Helping People of Pinellas Park is a nonprofit powered by the heart of our community: volunteers, local businesses, church groups, city staff, and everyday residents who step up to make a difference.   There are no fancy titles here – just generous hearts, helping hands, and a shared goal: to show up when someone needs a little extra support.  We’re not in it for recognition – we’re in it because we believe in our community.

Whether it’s lending a hand, sharing a resource, or simply offering support during a tough time, our mission is to fill the gaps for low-income, elderly, or disabled residents in our community. From organizing volunteer workdays to coordinating services and connecting people with the help and resources they need, we’re all about making life a little easier – and a lot more hopeful – for those who are struggling.

We believe small acts of kindness create big waves of change. Sometimes that means helping fix something around the house. Other times, it’s about access to mobility aids, safety improvements, or connecting someone with the right service provider. Every situation is different, but our response is always the same: we care, and we’re here to help.

Fueled by compassion and driven by community, we’re proud to be the bridge between need and support – right here in the City of Pinellas Park.

What We Do

At People Helping People of Pinellas Park, we show up when our neighbors need us most.

Whether it’s lending a hand, sharing a resource, or simply offering support during a tough time, our mission is to fill the gaps for low-income, elderly, or disabled residents in our community. From organizing volunteer workdays to coordinating services and connecting people with the help they need, we’re all about making life a little easier – and a lot more hopeful – for those who are struggling.

Sometimes that means helping fix something around the house. Other times, it’s about access to mobility aids, safety improvements, or connecting someone with the right service provider. Every situation is different, but our response is always the same: we care, and we’re here to help.

While we proudly rely on volunteers for many of our community projects, we also partner with licensed contractors to ensure every repair meets local building codes and safety standards. Our top priority is providing safe, reliable, and lasting improvements that protect and empower our neighbors.

Powered by compassion and united by purpose, we’re proud to be the bridge between need and support – right here in Pinellas Park.

Why It Matters

Because every act of compassion counts.

Life can be unpredictable, and sometimes people just need a hand to get back on their feet. That’s where we come in. At People Helping People, we offer more than just repairs – we offer connection, dignity, and peace of mind.

The beauty of this work is that it doesn’t just help one person – it uplifts entire neighborhoods. A small gesture becomes a spark. A single project inspires a ripple of kindness. And before you know it, the whole community begins to shine a little brighter.

We can’t do everything. But what we can do, we do with heart – and we do it together. That’s what makes this work powerful. That’s what makes it matter.
